Boston Kendo Kyokai is open to all who would like to learn kendo, regardless of race, color, creed, national orign, gender or sexual orientation. We welcome all, beginners and experienced kenshi alike.

Kendo is a rigorous physical activity with controlled contact. Practice is two hours in duration. We meet twice each week. If you have any questions regarding your ability to undertake an excercise routine please consult your physician first. All members must have adequate medical insurance coverage.

How to Become a Member

You may apply for membership by printing out this Membership Application Form and bringing it with you on your first day of practice. Alternatively, you may fill out our convenient On-Line Application below. Please make sure you fill out the form completely. You will receive a confirmation email at the address entered on the form. Click the link provided in the email and it will complete the application process. You can then update your BKK Membership Profile anytime by logging in and clicking the Membership button on the BKK Home Page.

Tuition

Tuition is based on a monthly schedule with discounts for payments made in advance.  An additional discount is available for full time college students.   Tuition is waived for children under 18 years of age.

Tuition Waivers

Boston Kendo Kyokai is a not for profit organization. Full and partial tuition waivers are available on an as needed basis.  Members of Roslindale and Archdale Community Centers receive an automatic tuition waiver.

Payment

Payment can be made by check, money order made payable to Boston Kendo Kyokai or cash.  We now offer on-line payment through Paypal.   We offer two payment plans: a Subscription Plan and a Pay As You Go Plan.  With the Subscription plan your Paypal Account will be charged your tuition fee on a recurring payment plan.  With the Pay As You Go Plan you must make each payment yourself.
